Great Horned Owls - Carburn Park Calgary
I saw three great horned owls today in Calgary’s Carburn park along with 8 bald eagles, plenty of deer and a curious coyote. It was dull and overcast on this new years day.
Short-Eared Owl
I was surprized and excited to come across this gorgeous Short-Eared Owl this morning. He was about 8 km West and 1 km North of Irricana.
Great Gray Owls in Alberta!
I went back today to look for the Great Gray Owl I saw on the weekend, I found two owls! I watched this great gray owl hunt along a fence line for about 30 min.. It let me get within about 15-20 feet, no worries he just kept hunting.
